The
lien filing or prosecution of foreclosure proceedings on association
members can be an ugly matter for a condo board. Many association
members argue entitlement to not paying because of poor property
maintenance, damaged common areas, or just revolt in general about
paying dues. Foreclosures of association members and prosecution of
liens can tear a neighborhood apart.
We attempt to work with those
members by attempting to convince them that it is in their best
fiduciary interest to pay back the dues owed to the association, and
attempt other vehicles of protest or change through the association bylaws
if they feel they have a valid dispute. |
